Build a Better World
JCI The Heart of Europe members believe in their city and want to see it grow and develop for the better of everyone living in it. We understand that there are always those in need and that we all are very fortunate for the positions we are in. There are always opportunities for volunteering or community involvement. We want to help work towards change—and we do.
The following are some of the international programs that JCI participates in:
Nothing but Nets
Insecticide-treated bed nets are purchased at a cost of €8.00 to be distributed – in partnership with the United Nations Foundation/Partners – to children under the age of five living in Sub-Saharan Africa. Education is provided to children and their communities on the use of the bed nets. The target is to purchase of 1,000,000 insecticide-treated bed nets by 2015.

JCI Operation Hope
Through JCI Operation Hope, JCI members unite to take action in the aftermath of tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters, reaching across the globe to sustain recovery initiatives and rebuild communities. JCI officially launched JCI Operation Hope on January 1, 2005 to empower members to take action in the face of natural disasters.

JCI Chronicles is a website powered by JCI THOE that strives to present the world all the sustainable actions undertaken by JCI members around the world. As an international database of JCI projects, we invite all JCI chapters to promote their local and international projects and show the world the value of organizations like ours!
